\nA series of videos have gone viral after people began to learn a lot of new information about the human body.<\/p>\n
Woman makes shocking discovery after giving birth
\nA mother-of-two recently discovered something about her body shortly after the birth of her second child. Not only did it blow her mind but it succeeded in creeping thousands of people out across social media.The mother, Jasmine, explained how she was breastfeeding with her second child and, having already breastfed her first child, thought she had heard everything regarding the process.<\/p>\n
It turns out, she had not. And seemingly all of us are learning something new about the human body because of her.<\/p>\n
In her video, Jasmine explains how, on very little sleep, she had a conversation with a lactation consultant that absolutely changed her life.<\/p>\n
Jasmine\u2019s lactation consultant asked her if she had noticed any excess breast tissue, to which the mother-of-two answered that she had. In her armpits.<\/p>\n
Jasmine also explained to the consultant that her armpits had changed colour, in much the same way women\u2019s nipples and areolas do during pregnancy.<\/p>\n
There was no preparing Jasmine for what she was about to be told.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s a nipple. You have a third nipple in your armpit,\u201d the consultant told Jasmine.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
According to eMedicineHealth, \u201cIt is quite common to have breast tissue up toward and even in the armpit.\u201d<\/p>\n
TikTok user\u2019s \u2018party trick goes viral
\nBut Jasmine is far from alone with her bonus armpit nipple. Another TikTok video rapidly blew up after one user showed off her \u2018party trick\u2019 of being able to squirt milk from her armpit.<\/p>\n
TikTok user Eithne_Parr generated a ton of reaction videos and comments after showing off how she could fire thin jets of milk from her armpit.<\/p>\n
While one comment described the phenomenon as a \u2018party trick\u2019, the new mother did not seem to share the same attitude towards her armpits turning into milk jets, describing the sensation as \u2018so weird\u2019.<\/p>\n
Naturally, TikTokers everywhere began to melt down in the reaction videos, until one very helpful doctor, along with Jasmine\u2019s aforementioned lactation consultant, came along to explain what was going on with all this excess armpit milk.<\/p>\n
What is the \u2018milk line?\u2019
\nIt turns out that the excess dairy delivery service is due to the \u2018milk line.\u2019<\/p>\n
But what is the \u2018milk line?\u2019<\/p>\n
Fortunately, TikTok is also full of doctors who are on hand to alleviate any fears about unexpected lactation.<\/p>\n
In Jasmine\u2019s video, she explains that her consultant revealed to her what the milk line is.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m gagged. You know how cows and puppies and kittens have that line of nipples? Humans have that too.\u201d<\/p>\n
Yes. Humans can indeed have a similar line of nipples to those of cats and dogs.<\/p>\n
The milk line is part of something known as the \u2018mammary ridge\u2019 (which sounds more like a fictional town from a wild west themed adult movie, but I digress) and extends from the armpits to the groin area.<\/p>\n
One user replied on TikTok: \u201cSo we can just grow udders????\u201d with another adding, \u201cI have one on my bra line and when my daughter was born I learned she has a matching one.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another user replied: \u201cAs someone that has literally leaked milk from both armpits it was a shock for me and the lactation consultant.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to kellymom.com: \u201cExtra nipples or breast tissue is fairly common (1-6% of women) and is a result of incomplete regression of the mammary ridge (milk line) during the development of the embryo before birth.<\/p>\n
\u201cBreast development begins around week four of gestation, with two parallel lines of glandular tissue called the milk line (or mammary ridge) extending from slightly beyond the underarm area, down the chest and abdomen, to the groin area and ending near the groin at the inner sides of the thighs (see figure).<\/p>\n
\u201cBreasts eventually develop from these lines of tissue, and the remaining tissue regresses. Occasionally, there is an incomplete regression of the mammary ridge during embryo development, and extra (supernumerary) nipples and\/or breast tissue forms, usually along this line but occasionally in other parts of the body.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis can occur in both males and females. An extra nipple, areola, and\/or glandular tissue may be present anywhere along this line (a nipple without glandular tissue is most common), and it is not at all unusual to have more than one.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jasmine even explains how her lactation consultant told her a story about someone growing an extra nipple\u2026 on their thigh.<\/p>\n

In the womb, all humans develop two thickened lines of tissue that run vertically from the armpits, down the chest and abdomen, to the groin. In most humans, these ridges naturally disappear everywhere except for the mid-chest area, which eventually becomes the two standard breasts and nipples. However, it is surprisingly common for parts of this ridge to persist after birth, leading to the development of supernumerary (extra) nipples or breast tissue. Approximately 1% to 5% of the population is born with an extra nipple, which most often appears as a small, flat mole-like spot along this original milk line. \nDr. Mezher continues: \u201cArmpit involvement is pretty common because of something called the axillary tail. So breastfeeding women do generally find that there can be some pain or some discomfort or even milk leaking from there.<\/p>\n
\u201cHowever, it is not the norm and if you do have an accessory nipple, then hopefully you would know about it already.\u201d<\/p>\n
So if excess nipples start firing out pints of milk, at least you can pretty accurately guess what\u2019s going on, now.<\/p>\n
