A White House official has since spoken out<\/p>\n

Donald Trump must hate to see the YouGov polls coming and this one certainly didn\u2019t hold back when it asked Americans for one word to describe the POTUS.<\/p>\n

The Economist and YouGov released its latest poll on July 21, revealing how Americans are currently feeling about Trump\u2019s job performance as the president of the United States during his second term, alongside how they\u2019d describe his \u2018personal qualities\u2019. And it\u2019s not pretty.<\/p>\n

In Trump\u2019s first term, a high of five percent of US adult citizens polled approved of his handling of his job as president. During his first term, the low reached -21 percent.<\/p>\n

However, while Trump\u2019s second term has seen a similar high of five percent, it\u2019s seen a new low of -25 percent \u2013 and that\u2019s in the current week too.<\/p>\n

To really sh*t in Trump\u2019s cornflakes even further, the net job approval for his first and second term was set in a graph against 46th president of the US Joe Biden\u2019s approval rating too \u2013 Biden\u2019s high measuring 17 percent with a low of -23 percent.<\/p>\n

Oh and let\u2019s not forget the poll going on to ask those polled to vote for one word to summarise their opinion of Trump.<\/p>\n

The poll gave those surveyed a list of words to choose from and asked them to say which they would or would not use to describe the current POTUS.<\/p>\n

The list is as follows: \u201cDangerous, corrupt, racist, out-of-touch, cruel, hold, divisive, strong, intelligence, effective, honest, steady, inspiring.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of those polled, 52 percent chose the word \u2018dangerous\u2018 as a word they \u2018would use\u2019 to describe the president, with only 19 percent saying they wouldn\u2019t use it.<\/p>\n

Then came 49 percent opting in favour of \u2018corrupt\u2018 versus just 19 against.<\/p>\n

\u2018Racist\u2018 also appeared to come out as one of the preferred ways to describe the president, with 45 percent choosing it versus 23 not.<\/p>\n

\u2018Out-of-touch\u2018 was chosen by 45 percent, with 44 percent choosing cruel, 43 percent bold and 38 percent divisive, the numbers dwindling all the way down to 17 percent dubbing him \u2018inspiring\u2018.<\/p>\n

And the poll does break this down a bit further.<\/p>\n

It noted there was a clear difference between which words Democrats chose to describe Trump versus Republicans.<\/p>\n

It detailed: \u201c86 percent of Democrats say Trump is dangerous, compared to only 12 percent of Republicans. 76 percent of Republicans and only six percent of Democrats say Trump is strong.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ah tough day in the office for Trump eh?<\/p>\n

A spokesperson from the White House, Davis Ingle, told UNILAD: \u201cThe ultimate poll was November 5th 2024 when nearly 80 million Americans overwhelmingly elected President Trump to deliver on his popular and commonsense agenda. No other President in history has accomplished more for the American people than President Trump, who is working tirelessly to create jobs, cool inflation, increase housing affordability, and more. The President has already made historic progress not only in America but around the world, and this is just the beginning as his agenda continues taking effect.\u201d<\/p>\n

The most bizarre quotes from Trump\u2019s second term
\nIt\u2019s no secret that Trump has made some rather strange remarks since returning to office and these may have come into play with the poll results\u2026\u2018I love inflation\u2019
\nWhen speaking at the White House in June, the president told reporters: \u201cYou know what I really love? I love the inflation.\u201dFor context, the US\u2019 current inflation rate sits at a hefty 4%, the highest rate since April 2023.<\/p>\n

War crimes don\u2019t count if the enemy has done bad things too
\nWhen asked by a reporter at Easter how it isn\u2019t a war crime to strike Iran\u2019s bridges and power plants, Trump responded: \u201cBecause they killed 45,000 people in the last month. They kill protesters. They are animals, and we have to stop them.\u201dDescribing the Iran ceasefire as \u2018shooting in a moderate manner\u2019
\nIn a June 2026 press conference, Trump said when being questioned on the shaky ceasefire with Iran: \u201cIt\u2019s a different part of the world, you know. I\u2019d say in that part a ceasefire is when you\u2019re shooting in a more moderate manner.\u201dA bombshell Pearl Harbor joke
\nIn a March 2026 press briefing with Japanese prime minster Sanae Takaichi, Trump made a joke about the 1941 attack on the US.
\nA Japanese journalist asked Trump about why the US didn\u2019t inform its allies about its plans to attack Iran, to which he responded by saying that the US \u2018went in very hard\u2019 and \u2018didn\u2019t tell anybody about it because we wanted surprise\u2019.<\/p>\n

He then said: \u201cWho knows better about surprise than Japan?\u201d<\/p>\n

While this comment drew polite laughter from US officials in the meeting, the room was then plunged into silence at Trump\u2019s next remark, in which he said to Sanae: \u201cWhy didn\u2019t you tell me about Pearl Harbor, OK?\u201d<\/p>\n

He won\u2019t deport Prince Harry because \u2018he has enough problems with Meghan\u2019
\nIn early 2025, Trump was asked during an interview with the New York Post if he had plans to kick Prince Harry out of the US amid ongoing questions about his immigration status.\u201cI don\u2019t want to do that. I\u2019ll leave him alone. He\u2019s got enough problems with his wife,\u201d he said. \u201cShe\u2019s terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saying Volodymyr Zelenskyy was \u2018all dressed up\u2019 in military attire
\nAhead of a 2025 meeting in the Oval Office, the Ukrainian president wore a black, long-sleeved polo shirt featuring the Ukrainian trident \u2013 after which he\u2019d vowed not to wear a suit until Russia\u2019s invasion of his country would come to an end.Trump jokily said as he greeted Zelenskyy: \u201cOh look, you\u2019re all dressed up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saying Denmark doesn\u2019t have a right to Greenland \u2013 despite it belonging to them
\nWhen the US was involved in that dispute over Greenland, as Trump wanted the land to be America\u2019s, he claimed that Denmark didn\u2019t have the \u2018right\u2019 to the country.Well, it\u2019s clear Trump didn\u2019t realize that Greenland is a self-governing, autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark, and has been part of Denmark for 600 years.<\/p>\n

Saying the Biden administration spent $8 million making mice transgender
\nDuring his address to Congress in March 2025, Trump accused the Biden administration of spending $8 million on \u2018transgender mice\u2019 experiments.PBS later fact-checked this and concluded that this claim was false, with PBS News Hour\u2019s White House correspondent Laura Barr\u00f3n-L\u00f3pez saying \u2018the idea that scientists are making mice transgender is false\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese experiments were studying the effects of gender-affirming hormones on asthma and on whether gender-affirming hormones increase breast cancer risk,\u201d Barr\u00f3n-L\u00f3pez explained.<\/p>\n

Saying a day like The Purge would \u2018curb crime\u2019
\nDuring his 2024 election campaign, Trump wildly called for \u2018one real rough, nasty\u2019 and \u2018violent day\u2019 of police retaliation in order to eradicate crime \u2018immediately\u2019 \u2013 which many drew comparisons to the thriller film The Purge.\u201cOne rough hour \u2014 and I mean real rough \u2014 the word will get out and it will end immediately, you know? It will end immediately,\u201d Trump said to the crowd in Erie, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

Calling Kamala Harris a \u2018s**t\u2019 vice president
\nAnother moment during his 2024 election campaign saw Trump take aim at his opponent, former vice president Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n

He told his supporters: \u201cWe have to tell Kamala Harris that you\u2019ve had enough, that you just can\u2019t take it anymore. We can\u2019t stand you, you\u2019re a s**t vice president. The worst.\u201d<\/p>\n
