Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was an ‘outcast’ and liked to be called John; Now she’s red carpet icon wearing mom’s dresses 👀❤️

When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie welcomed their first biological child, the world was already watching.

Their relationship had become one of the biggest stories in Hollywood, and when it was announced that they were expecting a baby, the excitement was enormous.

Paparazzi followed their every move, and the first photos of their daughter were reportedly worth a fortune.

But while the world wanted to know everything about the little girl, Brad and Angelina tried to give her something much more ordinary — a childhood away from the spotlight.

Born in Namibia in 2006, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt grew up with cameras following her famous parents everywhere she went. Yet over the years, she became known for something far more personal: wanting to do things her own way.

As a young child, she reportedly asked her parents to call her John, and Brad once explained that she preferred the name herself.

“She only wants to be called John. John or Peter,” he said at the time.

Angelina also spoke openly about her daughter’s clothing and hairstyle choices, making it clear that she wanted Shiloh to feel comfortable being herself rather than being pushed into a particular image.

And as she grew older, Shiloh continued to attract attention simply by stepping out in public — whether wearing her mother’s old dresses or appearing alongside her siblings.

But growing up in the shadow of two of Hollywood’s biggest stars hasn’t always been easy.

She has also faced difficult moments away from the cameras, including undergoing hip surgery as a teenager.

Angelina later wrote about watching her daughter go through surgery, describing the experience as a reminder of how quickly children grow up.

Today, Shiloh is no longer the little girl the world first saw in those million-dollar baby photos.

She’s grown up, found her own interests and continues to live largely outside the spotlight — despite having one of the most famous surnames in Hollywood.

And perhaps that’s exactly what her parents wanted for her all along. ❤️

It’s hard to believe how much she has grown. What do you remember about Shiloh as a little girl?
