How to treat a micropenis after man revealed brutal comment woman made after finding out about his private area

Micropenis is a medical term for a normally structured, but small penis
You might have heard of something called a micropenis, but do you really know exactly what it is?

Having a micropenis is rare – in fact, it’s estimated that in the US, approximately 1.5 in 10,000 newborns are born with micropenises -, and it’s even rarer to hear someone opening up about what it’s like to have one.

However, one man has recently spoken about having a micropenis and how it impacts his dating life.

What is a micropenis?
Micropenis is a medical term for a normally structured, but small penis. It is often noted during childhood, and hormonal or genetic factors can contribute to the development of the condition.

Cleveland Clinic explain: “As long as no other health concerns are present, a micropenis can function normally. People with micropenis are still able to urinate (pee) and have erections.”
A micropenis is generally diagnosed if the length is ‘less than 2.5 standard deviations below the average’. For example, the average stretched penis length is 5.25 inches, while a stretched penis length of 3.67 inches indicates a micropenis.

What are the treatments for a micropenis?
Treatment for a micropenis is not required if the size does not impact sexual function, fertility, urination or mental health.

However, there are a number of treatment options that can be considered for those who wish to seek medical help.

Hormonal therapy
According to verywellhealth, children with a micropenis can be given injections of testosterone which could increase penis size. This is said to be most effective in kids under the age of three.

Meanwhile, injections of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) can be given in addition.

Finally, dihydrotestosterone (DHT) can be applied to the penis in a topical gel and has been shows to increase stretched penis length in some.

Surgery
Some may consider surgery, such as suspensory ligament release which involves cutting the ligament that supports the penis.

This reportedly allows the penis to appear larger.

Fertility treatment
For those with a micropenis who want to start a family, but are struggling to conceive, intra-uterine insemination (IUI), in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) could be an option.

Mental health
There is support out there for people who are struggling with their mental health. For example, therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can help and aid with any self-esteem challenges.

You can find more information at Mental Health America.

For all treatments and therapies, it’s important to seek medical advice first.

One man recently spoke about what it’s like to live with a micropenis and how it has impacted his relationships.

The 26-year-old appeared on Joe Santagato and Greg Dybec’s podcast, Other People’s Lives, where he explained had to experience a heartbreaking two-word response from someone he was dating.

Sharing that he would ‘cut’ dating off because he ‘was nervous and scared’, there was a lot of worry for him that he wouldn’t be accepted by his partner.

For years, he was unable to get into deep relationships, but there was one time where he decided it was time, and revealed his micropenis to a woman he had ‘proper feelings for’.

“She knew it was terrible, which she tried her hardest not to tell me,” he said. “But she’s an honest person as well, and I could tell… I don’t blame a woman for thinking, ‘I don’t want this.’ I don’t blame that at all.”

One day, they were watching a film when a sexual scene made her say: “Oh, I’m scared now, I’m nervous.”

The comment came as a shock to the man, with him adding: “She’s never dealt with something like this before… so obviously, now it’s her head. She’s scared, and I [start] to feel bad for them.”

The term micropenis is something that a few people have opened up about, particularly in terms of how it has impacted them in their day-to-day lives.

One man recently opened up about how a woman he had ‘proper feelings for’ reacted when he told her that he had a micropenis, and it wasn’t a positive response.

Meanwhile, another man spoke about how the condition had really impacted his self-esteem, as when he was growing up, it was a ‘considerable embarrassment’ to him, though he has since grown to accept it.

He told ITV’s This Morning: “I was teased at school and it made me so self-conscious I didn’t have sex until I was 21. I would get embarrassed if the condom slipped off as my penis was too small to keep it on.”

Having a micropenis is an extremely rare condition, however, and it can impact people in several ways.

Despite affecting the size, a person with a micropenis can still urinate, masturbate, and have a sex life.

What can cause a micropenis?
According to Healthline, several hormonal factors could cause a micropenis, particularly androgen hormones like testosterone.

As the male fetus develops in the womb, the penis responds to these hormones, however, if it doesn’t respond to the production of androgen hormones, then this cause result in a micropenis.

Though it isn’t always clear why some are born with a hormone disorder which has resulted in a micropenis, a few conditions are often associated with it, including:

hypogonadism
growth hormone deficiency
Down syndrome
Prader-Willi syndrome

What are the treatments?
A few treatments for a micropenis involved hormone therapy at a young age, which is often administered through an injection, gel or ointment directly on a person’s genitalia.

While surgery is also an option, there are non-surgical options, like a penis pump, stretches and exercises, or filler injections.

Though it is recommended to consult a doctor before undergoing any treatments.

Although others with the condition have revealed how it has negatively impacted them, especially in terms of dating, some have revealed that there can be advantages to it.

One woman whose partner has a micropenis has also opened up about their sex life, describing it as being ‘more fulfilling than ever’.

Daughter discovers dad’s secret after woman and two strangers show up to his funeral
A final goodbye turned into a shocking family revelation

For most people, a funeral is a time to pay their respects, reflect on their time together, and ultimately say goodbye, but one woman’s final farewell to her dad turned into something straight out of a TV drama.

When three total strangers turned up to the service, it changed everything she thought she knew about her family.

The woman, who posted her story to Reddit, said her father had always been a quiet, funny man, the kind of dad who loved a bad joke and never missed a family event. He and her mom had been together since they were teenagers and had spent 40 years together as husband and wife.

Everything about their life together seemed stable and ordinary. That is, until that day, anyway.

It was during the funeral, as relatives and friends gathered to pay their respects, that a woman walked in with two teenage boys and approached the daughter.

As reported by The Daily Record, she recalled the stranger saying softly: “I think we should talk. I’m Denise. I was with your dad for 15 years.”

At first, the daughter thought it had to be some kind of mistake. But then Denise pulled out her phone and showed photo after photo: her dad at birthdays, Christmas dinners, and holidays, right up to this year.

There was no denying it anymore. Her dad hadn’t just been cheating, he’d been living a full-blown double life.

The daughter wrote: “She said he’d told her my mom had passed away years ago… He’d been living a double life for almost two decades, splitting time between ‘work trips’ that were really weekends with her. My mom’s entire face crumpled when I told her. They’d just celebrated their 40th anniversary.”

Both families, it turned out, had no idea the other even existed until that day.

The Redditor continued: “Now we’re dealing with the emotional fallout, two families grieving the same man, realizing he wasn’t the person we thought he was.”

She added: “I keep wondering how many birthdays and holidays he spent rushing between us, pretending he was late because of traffic.”

Reddit users flooded the comments of the thread, expressing everything from disbelief to heartbreak.

One person on the social media platform summed up the mood perfectly: “Double life, double grief. You’re mourning the man who raised you and the illusion he built. That’s the worst kind of loss, when even your memories feel like lies.”

Another added: “I am so sorry. All I can think of is that therapy would be good, and maybe the siblings would at least not hate each other. This is insanely tough to navigate with a death plus betrayal.”

A third chimed in: “Man, that’s absolutely brutal. I can’t even imagine processing that at a funeral, of all places. The logistics alone of keeping two families going for 15 years is insane — like, how do you even manage two sets of Christmas presents without getting caught?”
